Do NOT hire this law firm if you’re a woman going through a high asset divorce.
This was a huge waste of time and money for me.
After a year of dealing with this firm and never speaking with the actual attorney I thought I had hired more than a couple times, I switched to a different firm.
Especially do not hire if you have oil and gas assets.
The second firm I hired had nothing good to say about them.
Lesson learned!
Awful. CEO just wants to run up the billable hours as much as possible and hire as many experts to keep the tab going. After several hundred thousand dollars, my attorney refused to show up to my trial because I was short 5,000 by 2 days. Instead, I had to have a junior attorney. It did not turn out well. All that pain, trauma, judgement and money wasted. DO NOT Hire them. ALL the good attorneys left.
My KoonsFuller experience has been nothing short of ineffective opportunist dishonesty. I felt completely unvalued as a client and taken advantage of during the most vulnerable circumstances of my life.
I would never recommend this firm. Their actions did not match their company code of ethics, mission statements, or perceived public image whatsoever. If protecting your children is important to you, take your money elsewhere.
They did nothing but gaslight me when I asked for status updates on my filing or inquired about why my case wasn’t progressing. I was told repeatedly the name, KoonsFuller, was the only thing needed to win my case.
They told me time and time again that they would sort everything as soon as I paid more and more retainers fees in full.
When my children’s and my lives were in danger on multiple occasions, the ONLY response I received from KoonsFuller was a link to their payment site.
Once I got a new lawyer, I discovered that they hadn’t filed a single motion, request for protection, or basically made any progress on my case.
I am a single mother going through my third battle with cancer, and I invested a year’s worth of wages in KoonsFuller to protect my children and me. All I got was empty promises and notices asking for more money.
They took advantage of me in my desperation to squeeze me for money. Save your money and find true family law representation elsewhere.
