Listing Description
My attorney showed up 20 minutes before court with a blank steno pad after I had provided him mounds and mounds of evidence that he admitted he never opened.
I had told them exactly what was needed and what to request, but he stood before the Judge with something completely different. Then he told me it was because the judge wouldn’t give us what I was asking.
He never once objected to the cruel and vicious lies that were said about me on the stand and said it was because “he was just saying what he believed may have happened”.
DO NOT HIRE IF YOU ARE UNCONTESTED and actually need representation in court. They will not fight for a single thing!
Worst firm ever! I just lost my case. At first it was ok they will respond to your emails and phone calls within a week but once your done paying off the flat fee rate they make all kinds of excuses and never call or email you back. my divorce case took a year and half to settle. my attorney was so busy they gave me someone else that I didn’t know and that I only met once. I told my attorney that I only wanted her to work my case but that didn’t happen. This new attorney that I got didn’t come prepared and anything that I request never happen during court. I ended up doing whatever my ex-wife attorney had written down. My attorney didn’t even have my papers, didn’t fight for anything I wanted. she basically said I didn’t have a chance. so I called to complain about everything and they appointed me another attorney and she said she is going to work my case after everything was pretty much done. I got so screwed I don’t know how to process what just happen. so please do not go to this firm at all. I promise you yes it cheap because its a flat fee rate but its not worth the headache and you should save that money for an hourly rate firm. One of my worst decision I ever made in my life and I wish if I had made a better choice. Even with this new attorney she said she will follow up with the other 2 attorney to see what happen and she would call me back the next day. Never happen I had to call and leave her a message and she never called me back. I would give this a no star.
I would give zero stars if I could. The only decebt thing about them is the ability to make payments.
I found out after everything got screwed up in my court case that my attorney had over a 100 cases that she was having to deal with and that’s the reason why she didn’t work on my case like she should of.( she told me this) I begged her several times to file a motion to compel because my ex did not provide any of the financial information nor any of his credit card information at all. She never did it and that completely messed up the outcome of my case. I’m very disappointed in this law firm I was out a lot of money for zero representation.Anyone I know that needs legal services ,I will make sure they go elsewhere.
There is no sense whatsoever in any attorney beinh given that many cases. It makes it were they can’t focus on yours and it seems as though all of the cases given to them, when there’s that many the attorney gets, that it just tells you as a client that you’re not important.
I have debated about writing this review here for a while now but I feel that folks should know what they are getting into with this flat rate firm. I had an “agreed divorce” and most of the agreement was very simple. Unfortunately, I had to correct the documentation a couple of times, it was incorrect in may areas. Also, I specifically paid for someone to walk me through the court appearance so I would not be uncomfortable with that process. The attorney assigned to my case, who I was never able to speak with, did not show up on our court date. 2 1/2 hours later with 7 other clients all waiting for her we were told that she would not be coming. This was after we were told she was in the building and on her way. I was asked to come back the next day, which I did. However, the attorney did not show up until the court room was open, she submitted our (me and 6 others) paperwork and came out to the waiting area to bring us into the court room. It is a first some first serve courtroom, so we were last on the list. No conversation, no information, no courtesy showed that this was a difficult process and it would be ok. The only time I spoke with my attorney, that I paid for, was to answer several questions she asked in front of the judge. I could have done this myself and not paid for the attorney at all. Come to find out that the attorney I was assigned was on probation with the bar as well.
They are very affordable but I have one major complaint. One of their primary selling points is that they don’t charge extra for phone calls. What they don’t mention is that it’s a multi-day process trying to get your attorney on the phone.
Over the course of my divorce I’ve had three different attorneys, changing once when it went from uncontested to contested and again when my attorney got a promotion. I never met the first attorney. The second one was practically impossible to speak to and I didn’t see the paperwork until the day before trial. The third is more responsive but it still takes at least three days of leaving messages with the firm’s attorney before I get a call back.
This review applies only to the Fort Worth office. I’ve never dealt with their Dallas location.
DO NOT GO TO THIS FIRM!!!!! If you need immediate help or answers regarding your case you will not get them here I promise you. They claim they don’t charge you for phone calls because THEY DONT ANSWER THEM. They have a secretary who says either they are in court and will send them a message. Don’t be fooled by the price and what the guy at the consultation says. They will pull you in and make promises and as soon as you retain them then your hell will start. If you are going through a divorce with children don’t go here. Pay a little more money and go to a lawyer that knows how to communicate with there clients.
